A scholarship to assist a new international masters student from Vietnam with the cost of tuition fees.
The eligibility criteria for the scholarship are: An applicant must: (a) be an international student; and (b) hold a passport issued by the government of Vietnam; and (c) have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to an eligible masters programme at the University; and (d) have an Admissions GPE of at least 7.0. (2) An applicant is not eligible for consideration for the scholarship if they: (a) have already commenced study at the University; or (b) have undertaken any tertiary level study in New Zealand, excluding a student exchange programme; or I are enrolling as distance education students (including University of Auckland Online). (d) are enrolling in the Graduate School of Management (GSM) in any programme other than the following: (i) Master of Applied Finance; or (ii) Master of Business Analytics; or (iii) Master of Professional Accounting.

The selection criteria for the grant of the scholarship are: (a) academic merit as assessed by the Admissions GPE; and (b) the quality of the applicant’s personal statement. (5) The following criteria may also inform selection: (a) how the intended programme of study aligns with the strategic objectives of the university.

You do not need to apply for this scholarship, award or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee. Eligible applicants will be invited to complete a supplementary application form using the online application portal.
