This fully online master's degree program is designed for working professionals, offering an interactive, collaborative education that meets the most demanding academic and technical requirements. The curriculum is delivered within the Cyber Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) - an unstructured, synthetic, live environment designed to replicate the internet for a realistic, non-scripted platform in which students can practice offensive and defensive cyber security skills. With an M.S. in Cyber and Information Operations, not only will you be prepared for opportunities in government, defense, law enforcement and private industry, you will also be qualified to teach future students in the discipline.

Admission will be based on an evaluation of your potential to become an effective practitioner or researcher in cyber and information operations. We consider prior coursework and grades, letters of recommendation, and research or professional outputs such as technical papers, cybersecurity projects, or significant contributions to operational systems or tools. To be admitted you must have:

A recognized undergraduate (bachelors) degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States based on comparable credit. Or, for international students, an equivalent/comparable bachelors degree.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (last 60 units completed)
Computer Programming Requirement: Recent (no more than 3 years) coursework and/or experience in computer programming OR students must successfully pass the Python Challenge, a Python skills assessment
- Students who do not meet the computer programming requirement will be required to successfully complete of CYBV500: Security Computing (3 units)
