In this conversion course, you'll learn the skills required to harness the potential of AI. We'll help you build confidence in the latest tools and techniques, and where and how to apply them.

We'll begin by discussing the origins and development of AI. You'll learn about its strengths as well as common pitfalls. You'll build practical skills in programming, prompt engineering and AI development.

You'll then expand on this knowledge by investigating concepts such as:

computer vision

natural language processing

Our curriculum is built on the latest research and advances. Newcastle is home to the UK's National Innovation Centre for Data (NICD), as well as innovative researchers at the National Edge AI Hub. We will discuss real examples of how AI is being used in various industries, and why projects succeed and fail.
