They also acquire, prepare and organize information in a logical and timely way-a skill essential to the success of many organizations. You’ll develop the skills necessary for this industry with a combination of library and information management-specific courses. In addition, you will take courses such as Sociology, Psychology, and English to help develop the wide range of knowledge needed for success in this human service-based career. A practicum at the end of the second year will help solidify classroom learning and allow you to make valuable contacts in the field.
