Bachelor of Education in Teacher Education - Consecutive

The Consecutive Teacher Education program (Bachelor of Education) is available to individuals with a completed degree. Upon successful completion of the program, teacher candidates are normally recommended to the Ontario College of Teachers for membership and to receive their Ontario Certificate of Qualification. The Consecutive Teacher Education program is offered as a 16-month, full-time program over two years at both of Brock’s campuses: St. Catharines and the current Hamilton location. Brock is pursuing more modern facilities in Burlington and will operate at the current Hamilton Campus until the summer of 2022. Online and part-time options are not available.Each of the initial teacher education programs is field-oriented and based on an approach which is unique in Ontario - the Triple-C Model. A beginning teacher’s professional growth occurs under the careful guidance of Practicum Advisors, Practicum Instructors, and Associate Teachers in schools throughout the Niagara and Hamilton regions and beyond.
