The Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction provides practicing teachers with the opportunity to develop deeper understanding of the technical and contextual needs of teaching and learning for today’s classrooms. Courses provide students with the knowledge and praxis of educational strategies, classroom-deployable research design, data analysis, and evaluation to transform the lives of learners. Leveraging decades of practitioner-oriented research and praxis, the program serves educators throughout their developmental journey. Practicing teachers aiming to add additional endorsements may be interested in: Illinois Reading Teaching Endorsement (K-12), Illinois Secondary Education Endorsement (9-12), Illinois Special Education Endorsement LBS-1 (PK-12).
