Admission Requirements for DBU Graduate Ministry Degrees in the Graduate School of Ministry Applicants are required to have a staff member or church official from their church submit the "Church Membership Recommendation" form that is included in the application. Since Dallas Baptist University is an unapologetically evangelical and Christ-centered institution, applicants are required to affirm their agreement with the following beliefs: The Old and New Testaments of the Bible alone are the divinely inspired, entirely trustworthy, and infallible Words of God. There is one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are the same substance and equal in power and glory. Salvation from sins is only possible by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who alone is Savior and Lord. Official transcript from last institution attended as an undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, or graduate student A Statement of Purpose outlining reasons for seeking admission, answering each question with approximately 150 words, as this is considered a writing sample A Bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by an Institutional Accrediting Agency approved by the US Department of Education Evidence of sound moral character and compatibility with DBU's mission A likelihood of academic success as demonstrated by a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all previous course work A current professional résumé
