In NEC’s Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Education: Elementary Education K-6 licensure educator preparation program, you’ll study the foundations of elementary education: language, math, science, social studies, and child development. Understanding these elements can help educators spark curiosity in young students during their earliest years in school. This can help them grow as individuals and set them on the path to success as they enter higher levels of education. Earning an Elementary Education K-6 bachelor’s degree equips aspiring teachers with the knowledge and skills they’ll need to teach young children. By effectively covering the basic aspects of fundamental subjects, elementary school teachers can instill a love of learning in their students and prepare them for secondary school. They can also help nurture the behavioral development of students by designing curriculum strategies that encourage community building and interpersonal relationships.
