The programme explores contemporary challenges and opportunities faced by companies operating in a global context. You’ll complete an independent study project focusing on a specific business theme or undertake a consultancy project, working on a ‘real’ project set by a local organisation. Optional modules provide the opportunity to turn a business idea into a real venture by applying entrepreneurship theory in practice, or you can choose to focus on your professional skills to boost your employability. Your second, postgraduate level year focuses on the core principles and practices in managing people, products and organisations in today’s business world including product development, supply chains, organisational behaviour and the impact of digital technologies. You’ll examine strategic management, innovation and organisational change focusing on themes such as leadership, teamwork and ethical decision-making. International business is analysed, expanding your understanding of the different frameworks and models that inform decision making in the formation of effective global business strategies. The culmination of the programme is an individual study project that you will design and complete on a topic that inspires you. This could focus on sustainability, digital innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, or organisational change and you'll be fully supported by programme tutors.If you’ve previously studied business at an international institution or further education college and meet our entry requirements, our Business and Management Top-up integrated master’s allows you to ‘top-up’ that knowledge.
