University 1 (U1) is a direct-entry option with a unique, flexible approach to your first year at UM. It allows you to meet the admission or first year requirements for one or more target degree programs, even if you are not yet sure which degree path is right for you.you would like to make an individualized course plan that meets the admission andor first-year requirements for one or more target degree programs, you are interested in a program that requires one or more year(s) of prior university study, you are undecided about which program you want to study you do not meet the admission requirements for another program with a direct entry option you would like guidance from academic advisors in the First Year Centre who specialize in the transition from high school to university
