The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) is designed to provide an opportunity for students to develop research competence in a limited timeframe. The program duration is 1.5 years full-time or 3 years part-time.After completing qualifying courses and/or concurrent prescriptions, research students undertake original research and prepare a research thesis. This must meet high academic standards and be of publishable quality.

The minimum requirement for admission to a Master of Philosophy is- A Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline from UNSW; or an equivalent qualification from a tertiary institution as determined by the Faculty Higher Degree Committee (HDC)IELTS IELTS - 7.0 overall (min 6.0 in each subtest)TOEFL iBT - 94 overall (min. 25 in writing, 23 in reading, listening and speaking)
