Candidates will need to have applied for their programme of choice and be assessed for entry in line with the entry requirements. As part of the scholarship review process, programme teams will review the application to the programme and consider academic potential (for example, demonstrable work or voluntary experience within the chosen field and an articulation of mature contribution or experience gained), a very strong personal statement outlining why the programme has been chosen and highlighting skills, overall profile, achievements to date, career aspirations, research experience, publications (if any), research experience and publications (if any), and strong supportive references indicating academic ability or relevant employment experience related to the programme. The application form will also ask applicants to outline why they are in need of the scholarship, including details of financial income and family situation, interest and motivation for the chosen subject and studying at Imperial College London, any achievements and awards, and an explanation of how the scholarship would benefit them.
