Our Undergraduate merit scholarship supports high‑performing students who have demonstrated strong academic potential. The scholarship is based on the net first-year tuition fee, calculated after deducting any other scholarships or discounts, and is distributed equally across annual instalments for the duration of study.

High-achieving students may also be eligible for direct entry into the second year of an undergraduate programme at Heriot-Watt University Dubai. Eligibility criteria for direct admission are detailed on individual programme pages and available through the University’s Admissions Office. Final decisions are made at the discretion of the course director based on performance in relevant subjects and English language requirements.

Eligibility

The Direct Entry Merit Scholarship is open to merit students who qualify for direct entry into the second year of an undergraduate programme at Heriot-Watt University Dubai. Eligibility is determined by the course director based on academic performance in relevant subjects and English language requirements. Students must also maintain a minimum overall grade of C each academic year to continue receiving the scholarship.
