Criteria

To be eligible for the award, applicants must:

Be enrolled full-time or part-time in the Bachelor of Communications, Journalism major;

Agree to be acknowledged and profiled publicly with J Schools Canada-Ecoles J Canada, Canadian Journalism Foundation, and Google News Initiative with a short profile on how they are using the funds to pursue career-enriching opportunities (~400 words), including a photo;

Agree to participate in at least one Google News Lab Training Session;

Have attended a Journalism or Communications conference and/or completed a field placement, or be currently enrolled in a field placement in the Bachelor of Communications – Journalism major; and

Be in good academic standing.
