a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.

b. Where there is a tie in academic merit, the students involved may be contacted to provide:

I. evidence of hardship such as financial (i.e., Centrelink statement), medical (i.e., signed medical letter), geographic (i.e., documentation confirming residential address) etc. and
II. a personal statement describing their hardship and the impact to their studies.

c. The Scholarship will be awarded on the nomination of the Head of School of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, or their nominated delegate(s).
