International Aviation Academy of New Zealand

The International Aviation Academy of New Zealand (IAANZ) is New Zealand’s only professional pilot training organisation. IAANZ operates a self-maintained fleet of 24 aircraft from three training locations, using high quality flight theory content provided by eAviator and state-of-the-art flight simulators. IAANZ offers cutting-edge technology and equipment to help students reach their flying goals. IAANZ’s fleet is modern, well-maintained and diverse, making it appropriate for all training purposes. Other impressive facilities include a large fleet of aircraft ranging from two seat trainers to multi engine instrument flight rating trainers, two aircraft hangars, an engineering workshop, four large air‐conditioned lecture rooms and much more. Staff at the academy comprises qualified flight instructors and specialised theory lecturers. IAANZ operates on an instructor/student ratio of a maximum of 1:5 for practical training and a ratio of 1:30 for all theory classes.
