MS in Molecular, Cellular and Biochemical Pharmacology: Safety Pharmacology

Master's in Pharmacology students gain an educational foundation in Pharmacology plus a behind-the-scenes look into the FDA drug approval process including nonclinical & clinical safety assessments and regulatory guidance. MS students also have the unique advantage to network with experts currently working in the field through special lectures and networking events. Graduates of our program are prepared for employment in the biopharmaceutical and biotech industries, contract research organizations (CROs), government (FDA), or continuing education in medical (MD/DO) or graduate (Ph.D.) school. Our MS in Pharmacology program offers a 10-month non-thesis or 2-yr thesis option. All students are immersed in pharmacology core courses with the addition of Drug Discovery, Safety Pharmacology, and Drug Toxicology. One unique aspect of our program is networking opportunities with industry experts through special lectures along with several trips to regional industry. Our students also gain hands-on research experiences in laboratories of expert UC and Cincinnati Children’s faculty.
