Environmental Science is an academic discipline that incorporates multiple fields of scientific study - such as physics, biology, geology, geography, and chemistry - in order to study the environment and find solutions to environmental problems.The School of the Environment offers opportunities for advanced study and research leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Environmental Sciences.The Master of Science (M.S.) degree is awarded to candidates who display an in-depth understanding of the subject matter by successfully completing the program of study and demonstrating the ability to make significant contributions to their field of study.This program requires the completion of a minimum of 36 credit hours as follows: 19 hours of core courses, 12 hours of concentration courses, and 6 hours for a thesis.Concentration offerings include:Environmental BiotechnologyEnvironmental Restoration & Waste ManagementMarine & Estuarine EnvironmentsEnvironmental Policy & ManagementRadiation Protection
