The combined Five-year BS in Engineering/MS in Industrial Engineering degree is open to all students who wish to pursue a degree in engineering. This accelerated option helps you complete both your bachelor’s and master’s degree more quickly and efficiently, saving you both time and money, which is an imperative goal of an industrial engineer. The Five-year BS in Engineering/MS in Industrial Engineering program will help you advance your knowledge in areas such as analytical modeling, production scheduling, and facilities design and scheduling, while taking advantage of the latest technologies and opportunities the industry has to offer. As an undergraduate student, you may major in any of our engineering options, including Biomedical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering. For your graduate studies, you will take 9 credits in core courses, including Optimization Methods I, Production and Inventory Modeling, and Advanced Engineering Statistics along with a Core Concentration in Discrete Event Simulation. You will have 3 credits in the core concentration and the choice of a 3-credit Non-Thesis option or 6-credit Thesis option. The remainder of credits can be selected from a wide variety courses in topics ranging from decision making to lean manufacturing.
