Doctor of Psychology in School Psychology

In the School Psychology doctorate program at UAlbany, you will become a life-long learner who engages in the reflective practice of school psychology while respecting issues of cultural and individual diversity, equity and inclusion. Our program utilizes a practitioner-scholar model of training and focuses on the use of evidence-based practices embedded within a multi-tiered system of support framework. We promote skillful and ethical behavior in the provision of psychological services to children, youth and families. You'll earn a Master’s degree (MS) in Educational Psychology and Methodology, a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in School Psychology and a Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) in School Psychology. Upon completion of our NASP-accredited CAS sequence, you will be eligible for certification as a school psychologist. After completing our APA-accredited PsyD program, you'll be eligible for licensure as a professional psychologist.
