The Lamar University Bachelor of Science in Theatre and Dance with a concentration in dance provides students with a broad perspective in the dance industry by offering classroom instruction in several genres like ballet, tap, jazz, latin, ballroom, etc. Coursework also includes stagecraft, costume construction and dance pedagogy to help students navigate related fields, as well as to anticipate future trends in a professional dancer's career. This program gives you access to a wide variety of our university's resources. LU Theatre's three stages serve as laboratories for hands-on training. You participate in all phases of our production program, including a wide range of theatrical works and dance concerts on-campus and throughout the state and nation.
