About our Professional Emphasis The Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics with a Professional Emphasisfeatures core courses and advanced training in theoretical physics along with electives.This combination prepares students for advanced training in graduate school where they will seek a specialty. More About the Professional Emphasis Students who seek degrees through our program have access to: PSU Computational Physics Laboratory – A research lab dedicated to theoretical modeling of complex quantum mechanical systems. PSU Nanophysics Laboratory – A research lab dedicated to the growth and analysis of graphene and nanomaterials. Courses with specialized training in theoretical physics data collection and computer modeling.
