For more than five decades, Roosevelt's established paralegal program has helped students like you make an immediate impact in a firm, company or social justice organization. Paralegals are an essential part of the legal team. When you graduate, you'll be ready to interview clients and witnesses, research the law, and draft, review and analyze legal documents. The Paralegal program is offered in-person at our Chicago campus, and is also offered fully online (combining synchronous and asynchronous instruction). Programs must provide and students must be required to take at least nine semester credits or the equivalent of legal specialty courses through synchronous instruction. Transfer students can seamlessly complete the bachelor's degree, and we have partnerships with several community colleges in the area. Non-majors can also add a paralegal studies minor to their degree.

A freshman applicant is defined as an individual who has completed or will complete a high school degree or its equivalent and has fewer than 12 transferrable college credit hours. The admission requirements for freshman applicants are as follows: Roosevelt requires applicants to attain a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 2.0 for at least 3 years of study. Self-reported information is accepted for most programs but an official transcript will be required if you are admitted to Roosevelt University. If you took dual enrollment classes at your local community college as part of your high school diploma, you will need to submit transcripts from your community college in addition to your high school transcripts. Roosevelt is test-optional. If you have taken the ACT or SAT we encourage you to send your scores, though these are not required for admission.
