In New England College’s Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Education K–12 program, you’ll learn how to guide your students through the theatre production process, from stage design and directing to play analysis and acting. Graduates can learn through doing, building the necessary skills to understand the theatre process, and how to impart that knowledge to others in different settings. The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Education program offered by NEC prepares graduates to teach acting and directing to grades K–12. Throughout the program, students develop their acting, theatrical design, stage management, and play-analysis skills. While most graduates become theatre educators, some may work as screenwriters, stage designers, or casting agents.

New England College recognizes the IB curriculum as a challenging academic program that provides excellent preparation for university study. In most cases, credits are awarded for a minimum score of 5 on Standard Level (SL) exams and minimum score of 4 on Higher Level (HL). Additionally, students who earn an IB diploma in English can have their English Proficiency Score waived.A maximum of 30 credits may be awarded for IB.
