Students are provided with a broad background in the arts by taking courses in film, music, theatre, and visual arts. Training in the arts is combined with the development of skills in research, cultural planning, arts advocacy, cultural policy, marketing, production and distribution, fundraising, financial management, and entrepreneurship.
Opportunities
Each student gains vital practical experience working in the arts during two internships, various applied learning in classes, and cultural travel and field trips. Finally, all majors choose a minor in either management, marketing, or entrepreneurship. Graduates are equipped to enter the field of arts & entertainment management or to pursue further study in arts administration.
