Accelerated Master's Program in Biosystems Engineering

To qualify, the applicant must be a University of Arizona Undergraduate Student in good standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher.

• • Preferred applicants: University of Arizona undergraduates majoring in engineering or STEM-related fields.
  • We do accept students with non-engineering degrees. Students who have not completed fundamental engineering coursework may be required to complete supplementary coursework in addition to the 30 units of BEMS requirements to satisfy the degree requirements. Supplementary coursework will be determined by the departmental committee reviewing the application.
• At the time of application, have completed a minimum of 75 units of undergraduate course work; a minimum of 12 undergraduate units must have been completed in the student's major at The University of Arizona's main campus.
• Research experience as an undergraduate is not a requirement, but it is desirable.
• All application materials (which include a statement of purpose, three letters of recommendation, a resume and UA Unofficial transcripts) must be submitted via the BEAMP online Graduate Admissions Application in the final semester of their third (Junior) year.
• The Biosystems Engineering Department does not provide application fee waivers for the AMP program.
