This course gives you practical experience across digital, broadcast, and print media, with live reporting, industry projects, and support from experienced journalists. You’ll develop confidence, creativity, and professional skills, while learning to report responsibly, look after your wellbeing, and use sport journalism to make a positive impact. The course is built around strong industry partnerships with organisations including BBC Wales, Sky Sports News, ITV Wales, Media Wales, the Football Association of Wales, and the Welsh Rugby Union. You’ll benefit from placement opportunities, live briefs, and real press box access, working directly with professional and community clubs while building bylines, practical experience, and valuable industry contacts.
