Physics with Astrophysics is about understanding how the universe works - from planets, stars, and black holes to the laws that shape everything around us. At Lincoln, you'll study the physics behind space, motion, energy, matter, and gravity while developing advanced problem-solving, mathematical, computational, and analytical skills that are valued across a huge range of industries. This integrated Master's degree (MPhys) combines core physics with specialist astrophysics study and advanced research training. You'll explore topics such as cosmology, exoplanets, quantum physics, electromagnetism, and observational astronomy, while gaining practical experience in laboratories, computing, and research projects. Our modules explore key topics in astrophysics, taking you from curious individual to skilled physicist ready to apply your knowledge in the real world. We provide an in-depth look at astrophysics compared to other courses, with modules such as Electricity, Magnetism, Thermal and Quantum Physics Statistical and Quantum Physics The Solar System and Exoplanets and Cosmology and General Relativity.Whether you see yourself working in the space sector, data science, technology, finance, research, engineering, or beyond, this course is designed to help you graduate with both specialist knowledge and highly transferable skills.
