Our MSc Renewable Energy and Clean Technology puts students at the heart of the energy transition, exploring how we can balance sustainability, affordability and security, while creating cleaner ways to generate, store and use power.
Energy doesn’t work in isolation. The course starts with the technologies that make modern energy systems possible, then looks at how they connect, interact and perform as part of something bigger.
You’ll explore the factors that make an energy system viable, from sustainability and affordability to security of supply.

Applicants need a minimum of a 2:2 degree in Mechanical, Civil and Electrical/Electronic Engineering or other relevant engineering degrees with 2:2 or higher. If you don't meet the standard entry requirements but have relevant professional experience, we'll assess your application individually. You may be invited to an interview to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding needed for the programme. All applications are reviewed individually, with final admission decisions made by the University. For bachelor's degrees studied in India, this needs to be a minimum of four years for Bachelor of Technology in length and an overall mark at 55% or higher.
