Mental health problems affect people from all walks of life, with an impact felt by individuals, their families and the wider community.Whether you are interested in mental health care from a personal, professional or educational perspective, our MSc Mental Health gives you the opportunity to explore mental health issues in an engaging and innovative way.Our Masters course is taught by distance learning or on our Chelmsford campus. ARU’s postgraduate courses fit into your life you can study this course full-time or part-time in an environment which addresses all learning styles. As an MSc Mental Health student at ARU you’ll begin each course module with a workshop, where you’ll build relationships with fellow students and staff. The rest of your studying will be distance learning.Through this course you’ll begin to understand specialised aspects of the ‘craft of caring’ for people with a serious mental illness. You’ll have the opportunity to explore professional care specialisms such as child and adolescent mental health care needs, dementia care, and depression.You’ll engage with innovation, research and leadership in mental health care but please note this course doesn’t lead to professional qualification as a mental health nurse.
