Design and Global Sustainable Development with Integrated International Foundation Programme - BASc (Hons)

This integrated four-year route combines Year 0 of the International Foundation Programme with Warwick's degree in Design and Global Sustainable Development. The International Foundation Programme provides a strong foundation in the key ideas, theories, and methods used to understand how societies function and change. You will develop the analytical, research, and communication skills needed to study social issues critically and engage with real-world challenges from multiple perspectives.Throughout the course, you will explore how social, political, and cultural forces shape our world, examining topics such as power, justice, identity, and cultural representations. You will also learn to evaluate evidence, interpret data, and present well-structured academic arguments. Alongside this, you will strengthen your ability to collaborate, debate, and think independently, which are skills essential for success in higher education and beyond. By the end of this first year, students will have developed the academic foundations and be well prepared to progress Year 1 of BASc Design and Global Sustainable Development.Warwick's innovative Design and Global Sustainable Development degree challenges you to think critically about important problems such as human rights, environmental impact, technological and digital advancement and consider practical, design-led solutions. By studying this degree, you will acquire the knowledge and skills to become a responsible and ethical global citizen able to tackle society’s major challenges in order to build a sustainable and regenerative society.You will work with sustainability and design industry experts and regional communities to co-design products, processes and solutions. You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and studies through optional work placements, study abroad, and certificates.
