The three-year undergraduate BSc in Criminology and Law is a joint programme run by the School of Policy and Global Affairs (SPGA) and The City Law School. As such, it harnesses the reputation of The City Law School, notable for its high level of scholarship and academic rigour with the research excellence of the Department of Sociology and Criminology.
The BSc in Criminology and Law is uniquely positioned to provide you with a socio-legal degree that encompasses the already excellent portfolio of modules on offer in both Schools, including valuable methodological training. This programme is therefore particularly relevant for those students who are interested in pursuing careers in legal and criminal justice/social policy, research and socio-legal work.

Applicants are normally expected to achieve A Levels at grades ABB, equivalent to 128 UCAS Tariff points. Alternative qualifications are also accepted, including the International Baccalaureate with a total of 31 points, including a grade 4 in Higher Level English or grade 5 in Standard Level English; applicants must also achieve a minimum of grade 5 in Standard Level English and a minimum of grade 4 in Standard Level Mathematics. BTEC qualifications are accepted at grade DDM. In addition, applicants must hold GCSE English Language or English Literature and Mathematics at a minimum of grade 4 (C). T Levels are also accepted for this programme with an overall grade of Merit.
