This postgraduate diploma in Conscious Sedation for Dentistry creates enhanced understanding of the processes involved in conscious sedation through knowledge of the basic sciences. The course provides a high level of clinical experience of treating patients under sedation in supervised sessions. You will learn basic techniques, with an introduction to the theory of advanced approaches where relevant. Both practical and theoretical training is provided, from initial assessment and treatment planning to delivery, recovery and discharge, for a variety of sedation techniques for dental treatment.
