Introduction:
This top-up degree gives you a hands-on approach to learning. You’ll be taught in small groups with access to lots of practical and lab-based work. This approach makes you think and behave like a professional sport scientist. Modules have been designed to give you practical skills and industry knowledge. Regular guest speakers bring the subject to life through their insights into what’s happening right now in the industry.
Assessment will be through coursework activities where you’ll demonstrate your understanding through written reports, individual and group presentations, project work as well as through your portfolio which you’ll develop on this course as evidence of your professional and academic progress.
You’ll be applying your learning in our state-of-the-art sport science facilities at our Mansfield site. Our well-equipped labs include eye-tracker systems for sport psychology, 3D motion capture systems for biomechanics and a range of bikes, treadmills and performance analysers for sports physiology.

This course equips you for employment in a wide range of jobs in the sport and leisure industry, in both the public and private sectors. It can also lead to postgraduate study after graduation. Recent NTU sport science graduates have gone on to the following companies and roles:
