This certificate programme enables health professionals to specialise in their area of practice at postgraduate level, according to the specialisation chosen. We advise that the University of Auckland is not involved in the employment of graduates and can make no guarantee of post-qualification registration or employment in New Zealand or any other country The PGCertHSc (Mammography) programme is designed for medical imaging technologists (MITs) and radiation therapists seeking to provide high level expertise in breast imaging and is driven by the requirements of clinical services including BreastScreen Aotearoa (BSA).

To gain admission to the PGCertHSc(Mammography), a student must:

Have completed an undergraduate degree in Medical Imaging or an equivalent qualification
Hold a current registration with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board or as a Medical Radiation Technologist in their country of domicile
Have a clinical training position in Mammography from an approved clinical centre and a completed University of Auckland Clinical Training Position Agreement prior to admission to the programme. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain this training position

Must have access to an approved clinical environment
