This endorsed research degree is completed by a thesis and coursework. It aims to provide a research-focused learning environment in which you can develop your independent problem solving skills through supervised research. The degree may be awarded with Distinction. The Master of Engineering degree is awarded as an endorsed degree in an area of specialisation: Bioengineering Chemical and Process Engineering Civil Engineering Construction Management Earthquake Engineering Electrical and Electronic Engineering Mechanical Engineering Software Engineering Transportation Engineering Construction Management is the overall planning, coordination, and control of a project from beginning to completion. Construction Project Management is aimed at meeting a client's requirements in order to produce a functionally and financially viable project. Construction Management professionals undertake a wide range of tasks, including specifying project objectives and plans, setting performance requirements, selecting project participants and procuring resources, and coordinating the planning, designing, and construction. The Construction Management programme offers graduates study leading to the Master of Engineering degree. The focus is on professional programmes that combine theory and application with a strong emphasis in applied management. The master's programme is an advanced curriculum designed to allow students to tailor a portion of the specialisation requirements to meet individual interests and goals.
