The Bachelor of Commerce with Honours is for high-achieving students with a relevant bachelor's degree. A choice of seven subjects is available. As a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours graduate you will be able to: demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of current theoretical concepts and frameworks within your major discipline think logically, analytically, and critically with respect to the academic literature in your major discipline plan and carry out a supervised programme of academic research that shows a sound understanding of ethical practice synthesise academic or professional literature and effectively communicate research orally and in written form. Taxation is about more than creating and charging taxes - it distributes money to public goods and services, and can be a tool to influence behaviour. This study involves many different subject areas, including law, economics, and even psychology to help us understand the impact of taxation on society. Minor in Taxation UC also offers a minor in Taxation within multiple degrees to complement your major subject with study in tax expenses and public services. This can increase your knowledge and potentially employability in an industry that interests you. Study Involve: Take a range of courses from legal, accounting, and practical perspectives that prepare you for a professional career in taxation and accounting. Apply your learning through internships and international study options. By taking specific courses in this major, you can gain external qualifications and membership with CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and other professional accounting bodies internationally. Complete a minor in Taxation or Accounting within a range of bachelor’s degrees to add understanding of tax and policy to your other studies.
