Our BA/BMus develops essential skills that can help you to adapt and thrive in a fast-changing, globalised economy and an evolving music industry. Your BA/BMus will support your future career by helping you to develop strong capabilities, including advanced communication skills, critical and creative thinking, the ability to research and evaluate information, the ability to analyse problems and seek solutions, adaptability, and an awareness of different perspectives. You’ll be well-positioned to pursue new opportunities opened up by developments in society, technology and the music industry.You can choose from different Māori Studies courses to suit your interests and career goals. You can study Māori language, Māori and the media, material culture, history, politics and Māori performing arts (kapa haka). You can take a major in Māori Studies as one of your two BA majors (a double major). You will need to pass at least 120 points (eight courses) towards each of your majors, including at least 45 points (three courses) at Stage III.
