Memorial's School of Pharmacy provides cutting-edge theory in an up-close and personal environment. The School of Pharmacy provides graduate students with the opportunity to conduct original research related to the discovery, delivery, disposition, action, toxicity, cell biology, and utilization of drugs. There are several research laboratories, including separate rooms for organic synthesis, natural products chemistry, and cell culture, in addition to advance formulation and pharmacology labs. All offices and research laboratories in the Health Sciences Centre are connected as a part of the MUNet, a high-speed network linking the campus with the world.
Graduate supervisors in Memorial’s School of Pharmacy are engaged in research in the following areas:
Health Outcomes research assesses the end results of health care services, providing evidence for the value of specific medical treatments or interventions that can be used to make better decisions and improve health care. Research areas:
Drug Discovery and Delivery research encompasses all aspects of the delivery, development, administration, and use of therapeutic drugs, leading to better treatment options. It includes the definition and characterization of macromolecular substrates that serve as targets for drug design. When a new drug is discovered, it must also be determined if that drug can be delivered to the right part of the body in order to be effective. Research areas:

Applicants must have completed Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, or a recognized four-year undergraduate degree in physical, chemical or biological science, or equivalent (minimum GPA of ‘B+’ or ‘75%’ average)
The minimum English proficiency test scores are as follows:
TOEFL: An aggregate score of 80 (92 for graduate programs with higher English proficiency requirements).
IELTS Academic: An aggregate score of 6.5 (7 for graduate programs with higher English proficiency requirements).
Duolingo English Test: An aggregate score of 115 (125 for graduate programs with higher English proficiency requirements).
CAEL - A score between 50 and 60 in each of four bands, with at least 2 band scores of 60.
MET: A score of 59%.
PTE Academic - Minimum scores of 58 in each of reading, writing, listening, and speaking
