International Year One (UTP Stage II): Engineering

International Year One (UTP Stage II): Engineering Program Structure

Following the completion of TMUIC International Year One (UTP Stage II) Engineering, including maintaining academic good standing and achieving any program-specific CGPA, students will progress to their chosen major at TMU. Students must achieve a CGPA of 2.0 to progress into TMU’s Faculty of Engineering.

Upon successful completion of the International Year One (UTP Stage II): Engineering, including achieving a 2.0 CGPA, students will transfer into one of the full-time engineering programs at TMU with a minimum of 10.0 credits.

Engineering Fundamentals

This program is designed for students who are missing all prerequisite subjects (Grade 12 Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) to gain direct entry into the International Year One pathway in Engineering. Students in the one-term Fundamentals program will complete the following four foundation courses: Introduction to Physics, Introduction to Chemistry and two courses in Functions, Calculus, and Vectors.

To progress into International Year One in Engineering, students must achieve a minimum of 65% across these courses.
