To be eligible for admission to a masters program, applicants must hold, at a minimum, an Honours undergraduate degree or equivalent (typically a four-year full-time program) from a recognized post-secondary institution with at least a B (second class) standing in the final two years of full-time equivalent study.A minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least a “B” or equivalent, is required. Most programs require at least a “B plus” or equivalent. Your GPA is assessed over the last two years of undergraduate study (full time, or equivalent); or, if you have a masters degree, we will use your highest level of education to calculate your GPA.An undergraduate degree in any area of biology, biological science, biochemistry, chemistry, life sciences or related field from a recognized post-secondary institution with a B plus average in the last two years (or equivalent) of academic work. Undergraduate degrees must include at least one course in statistics at the second-year level or above, as well as three courses in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics or equivalent at the second-year level or above.
