Department of Geography and Environment students can pursue a wide variety of interests and obtain either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. Geography and Environment at Western centres around the following sub-disciplines Physical Geography, Geographic Information Science (GIS), Urban Studies and Environment, Development and Health. This broad, integrative perspective makes Western geographers employable in a wide range of occupations.

A minimum average of B grade in 3 distinct A-Levels or 4 distinct AS-Levels. Predicted Results - You must complete the GCE A Level Predicted Results Form. A minimum of a C grade in 5 GCSE or IGCSE or Ordinary Levels or equivalent in academic subjects. A minimum of 4.0 full senior academic courses reported on your academic transcript. A minimum SAT combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing plus Math score of 1190 OR a minimum ACT composite score of 24. The score reports must be official and come to the Admissions Office directly from the College Board or ACT.
