Diabetes Specialist Nurses are crucial in providing good patient care and promoting self-care management in a variety of care settings. This course provides a systematic introduction to the fundamentals of diabetes nursing, equipping students with the information and skills necessary to pursue a career as a Diabetes nurse in a variety of healthcare settings. Students will examine the origins, risk factors, pathophysiology, symptoms, therapies, interprofessional care, psychosocial support, and nursing care of individuals with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, as well as their relatives and caregivers.
