To meet academic requirements, applicants must satisfy one of the following;
Hold an Australian Year 12 Certificate, OR
Hold an IB Diploma, OR
Hold AQF Certificate IV or above (where the language of instruction was English), OR
Successfully complete at or above Exit level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment. The tool used for ensuring the assessment is valid and reliable is “LLN Robot”, an approved assessment tool provided by the College. The assessment may be conducted at any of Basairs campuses and is facilitated by the Enrolment Officer (or their delegate) who is required to ensure the process is conducted with honesty and integrity. Results are provided to the applicant as soon as practicable after the assessment and the Secretary of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations in the form, manner and by the time requested by the Secretary.
The Pre-Requisites for the course are;
Student is over 17 years of age at the start of the course
Student holds a current Class 1 Australian Medical by the start of the course
Student has passed the Pilot Aptitude Screening Process* and has been made a firm offer of a place on the course.
Student satisfies the Academic Requirements** by the start of the course
Student holds an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC) by the start of the course.
Student has supplied Basair a Unique Student Identification (USI) number by the start of the course.
