Develop exceptional financial acumen and engineering prowess by combining a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) program with studies in commerce. Complete this dual program and you'll gain an extra professionally recognised qualification and a highly valued skill set that will place you in high demand with employers. In the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) you’ll develop technical skills through a core specialisation, which will form the basis of your career. Choose from chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronic engineering or software engineering. Depending on your choice of specialisation, the skills you'll develop under the engineering component of the program will allow you to work in a range of fields, from infrastructure and hospitals to energy and software. During your commerce studies you'll complete a range of compulsory courses that cover concepts relevant across the financial services sector, including topics such as accounting, information systems, economics, business law and management. You'll graduate with a combination of core and specialist knowledge, and the skills to apply what you've learned wherever your career takes you.

Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C); Mathematical Methods (Units 3 & 4, C); and one of Chemistry or Physics (Units 3 & 4, C).

Both Chemistry and Physics are recommended subjects. Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C) is also a recommended subject. Students studying Specialist Mathematics and both Physics and Chemistry will have increased flexibility in their studies.

Students without Specialist Mathematics and/or another high school prerequisite may be required to undertake preparatory courses beyond the 88 units for the program and may not be able to complete the program in the minimum time frame without overloading or undertaking summer study. English Proficiency

IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19. TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5. Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands. BEP - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills. CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands. OET is not accepted.
