Advance your career in Interior Design and get the preparation to teach. The Interior Design concentration prepares you to define sustainable solutions and focus on design research in the interior environment for the fundamental challenges that impact the interior design profession. As an interior design graduate student, you'll focus on interiors based on design principles, design research and sustainable solutions. This program also prepares you for advanced positions in the interior design industry and interior design education at the college and university levels. The curricula in the M.F.A. program are designed and taught to help future educators and professional designers develop the conceptual, aesthetic, pedagogical, analytical knowledge and technical skills necessary to achieve their career goals.At the end of the graduate program, our students should be well prepared to re-enter the profession with a specialized focus, or, if the minor in pedagogy is selected, in the field of interior design education in the university environment with identified areas of design research necessary for growth and tenure at the university level.
