Postgraduate candidates will normally be expected to hold a BA or BS with a grade point average range of 3.0 to 3.6+/4.0 or equivalent GPA. Postgraduate entrance requirements may be higher depending on the School and the programme you wish to study.

Admission to the programme requires that you hold a good undergraduate degree, high 2.1 (16.5) or better or its equivalent (e.g. GPA of 3.6 or better on a 4-point scale). The undergraduate degree does not need to be in the discipline of Social Anthropology, but candidates will be advised to take the MRes first if they have insufficient anthropological preparation. IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Minimum component scores (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) and 6.5 minimum overall score; TOEFL IBT: 79 minimum overall score with Listening: 12; Reading: 13; Writing: 21; Speaking: 18.
