The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Liverpool, England, was founded in 1898, and is the first institution devoted primarily to tropical health. Today, the School continues its work as a post-graduate school and trains over 500 students. It has extensive links with UN and research institutions worldwide. Academic programs are conducted under the Child and Reproductive Group, Clinical Research Group, Disease Control Strategy Group, International Health Group, Molecular and Biochemical Parasitology Group and Vector Group.
