COURSE INFORMATION
This course offers you an opportunity to learn about the health and social care professions and the career paths are available in these areas. It allows you to begin your studies at SCQF Level 6 on a generic programme working towards Highers in care and psychology.
The course is designed to support you to work towards university entrance over one or two years and is designed to offer the widest range of learning experiences to suit you.
Towards the end of Semester 1 (December), you will be assessed based on an agreed set of criteria which will determine the most appropriate progression route. This route will be either:
Access to Nursing Degrees studying Higher Care, Higher Psychology and Communication 4/Literacy 1 (equivalent to Higher English for university entrance) or access to Care HNCs
This course may allow some students to access the SWAP programme. This is dependent on eligibility criteria and will be discussed on an individual basis. This allows students to complete units only and is dependent on a final tutor.
