Introduction
The Bachelor of Consumer Studies programme is founded on the philosophy underlying the creation of a consumer society that is well-informed, responsible, ethical and proactive, for the purpose of enhancing fairness in marketing practices and supporting sustainable development for improving the quality of life. The field of Consumer Studies integrates various disciplines in pure and applied sciences such as Economics and Consumer Behaviour, Management, Marketing, Science and Technology, Socio-psychology, Communication and Law. The programme equips students with knowledge and skills in aspects of consumerism so that they can become intermediaries between producers, consumers and policy makers.
